The Caribbean
Think of the Caribbean and you’ll certainly conjure up clichéd images of white-sand beaches and tropical drinks with little umbrellas, a true paradise to live in! An archipelago intimately connected to the sea and you’ll definitely fall under its spell the moment you tasted the salt on your skin.
A region covering The Caribbean Sea, its islands (most of which enclose the sea) and surrounding coasts – The Caribbean, is positioned in the southeast of the Gulf of Mexico and North America, East of Central America, and to the north of South America.
Most famous for their beaches, stretches of palm-backed sugar-soft sand that rise from gin clear shadows in a striking blue sea, The Caribbean Islands offers an easy life to its inhabitants. With wonderful climate all year-round, the pace of life in the islands is laid-back and the people are generally friendly and charming.
Situated comparatively closer to USA and UK than to other tropical destinations, makes The Caribbean a perfect place to take time out and relax.
Languages such as Spanish, English, French, Dutch, Haitian Creole and Papiamento are mostly used among the various countries in the region, though a handful of unique Creole languages or dialects can also be found from one country to another.
